About NISM Professor
Last updated: 9 September 2026
We built this because the official NISM workbooks are accurate, thorough and genuinely hard to learn from. They are written like regulation, not like teaching.
The problem we are solving
There are 34 NISM certification examinations, and for hundreds of thousands of people in India — mutual fund distributors, bank relationship managers, broker back-office staff, research analysts — passing one is a legal requirement to do their job. The official workbook for a single exam can run to 600 pages of dense regulatory prose.
Most candidates do not fail because the material is beyond them. They fail because nobody ever explained it in language they think in, with examples from a life they recognise.
How we teach
Every chapter is taught three times, at three depths. You unlock the next level by passing the one before it, so you never sit a hard test on something you have not understood yet.
- Level 1 — Foundation. Plain English, no jargon, and every concept anchored to a real-life analogy. A mutual fund is a shared auto: everyone chips in, the driver is the fund manager, and you own a seat proportional to what you paid.
- Level 2 — Application. Worked numericals with rupee amounts, scenario problems, and the mistakes people actually make.
- Level 3 — Exam-Ready. The NISM way of asking it: tricky wording, exception cases, and the specific limits and dates worth memorising. Timed, with negative marking applied.
Mock exams that follow the real rules
This matters more than it sounds. The 34 NISM exams do not share one format. Durations run 60, 120 or 180 minutes. Papers are worth 50, 100 or 150 marks. Pass marks are 50% or 60%. Negative marking is 0%, 10% or 25% depending on the series.
Series VII — one of the most popular exams — is the only one that pairs a 50% pass mark with 25% negative marking. Any platform that assumes “60% and 25%” grades it wrong. Our mock engine reads the real rules for each exam individually, so your practice score means what you think it means.
One number that tells you whether to book the exam
Your readiness score is weighted by each chapter’s official syllabus weightage, taken from the workbook’s own published table. A chapter worth 15% of the paper moves your score fifteen times as much as one worth 1%. That way the number reflects the exam you are about to sit, not a flat average across chapters.
How our material is written
Our lessons are original explanatory writing, derived from the official syllabus and published workbooks. Much of it is produced with automated assistance and published continuously, which is how we can cover 30+ examinations rather than one or two.
We are open about the trade-off. Automated production means broad coverage and fast updates; it also means occasional errors. So every lesson records the source pages it came from, every question carries a confidence score, and every page has a one-click way to report a mistake. Reports are reviewed and fixed. Please use it — it makes the platform better for the next person.
We do not reproduce NISM’s copyrighted workbooks. See our disclaimer for our position on NISM and SEBI trademarks.
Why it is free
The people who most need these certifications are often earliest in their careers. Charging them upfront filters out exactly the audience we built this for. The platform is supported by advertising instead — and we do not run ads on timed exam screens, because an accidental tap in the middle of a mock is precisely the wrong moment for one.
